So up until yesterday, the last week has been very uneventful.
We have started studio and it is in full swing. We have been working on diagramming
of other piazzas in Verona.
Yesterday went to Vicenza. It is gorgeous. (Parentals we
should go). Palladio has 20 or so buildings in the city. The layers of
different architecture from different eras give a great depth to the city.
Paladio's theatro olimpico is absolutely amazing. It is one of the most gorgeous theaters i have ever seen and I would love to get to see a performance in that space. It feed my architects and theater soul all at once.
Carlos Scarpa's cimitary- a use of space and line beyond what most can imagine. I would have to spend another 6 hours in the space to try and find the rest of the intricate details left to find in the space. Things moved in was not expected and there were hidden treasures everywhere.
